Summary: Written for samwinchestersass's prompt: Sam/Gabriel, Sam is kind of a needy drunk.


Gabriel is shameless enough to openly admit he loves the nights Sam has more than a few drinks. It’s always a laugh to see the way Dean’s eyes fight to bulge out of his skull at Sam’s inability to keep his hands to himself when the Archangel snaps into the room – or bar, or wherever else those chuckle heads wind up.

When they lose the audience – either by Dean practically running to get his own room or Gabriel snapping him away – Sam always invades Gabriel’s personal space, in a way he rarely does when completely sober, and nuzzles into the Archangel’s neck, large hands clutching at his back while he tries to fit his oversized body into Gabriel’s lap. It’s scarily reminiscent of a Great Dane or German Sheppard that thinks he’s a lap dog, but Gabriel doesn’t mind. Sam is easy to understand when he’s got alcohol in his system and Gabriel is just the angel to take care of his human’s needs.

And if Gabriel is really just a sucker for cuddling and holding Sam tight against his chest? Well, no one needs to know he’s just as needy as his boyfriend.
