It wasn’t as big a deal as Gabriel was making it. And it certainly wasn’t the first time Sam has been stabbed on a hunt. Sure, it was a closer call than they’d had since the Apocalypse-that-wasn’t and required healing by his angel rather than a good stitching from Dean. But the forced sabbatical from hunting was going a little overboard, in Sam’s opinion.

Even if the bed rest (which Sam thought was really just an excuse to keep Sam right where Gabriel always wanted him) wasn’t necessary, he couldn’t deny how nice it was to be taken care of. Pampered. Gabriel brought (snapped into existence) him whatever he needed, including the salads the angel couldn’t stand but knew Sam loved. Gabriel was always there, ready with a smirk or a smile or a kiss or a combination of the three.

And when a warm hand slid slowly down his chest, pausing only once where the scar would have been had Gabriel not healed him, soft lips trailing along his neck, Sam decided that a forced break might not be so bad if he got to spend that time with his angel.

Oh, sweet. I love stories where Gabriel takes care of Sam in whatever way he needs. It's side so often not explored with Gabriel.

Awww.... love Gabriel taking care of our troubled hunter :) I know Dean loves his brother but it is nice to see someone else does too :)

Yep, Dean's good at taking care of his brother but I like the idea of them having more than just each other to lean on. Especially if Sam can lean on Gabriel. *-*
