Trick or Treat 2021 Letter

wolfish_willowHi! Thank you so much for creating something for me. I'm very excited to see what you come up with.
I've got a list of DNWs and some General Likes, as well as the more Halloween and/or Horror-related Likes. After that, I've attempted to come up with some prompts for specific fandoms/characters requested. These are, of course, completely optional. I prefer to have prompts to work off of, but I know that not everyone does.
If there are some fandoms or characters with fewer prompts than others, this isn't because I am not just as excited to see something for them. It's because I just wasn't able to think up something on my own. I would be equally happy to get something for ANY of my requests, no matter what :D
I'm also aware that many of the prompts are Very Involved for such a short minimum word count. Please feel free to just go by my general or horror likes and coming up with something that works for you and the length you're most comfortable with writing <3 I would be happy to see any of these characters/ships paired up with any of my Likes, for tricks or treats!

It's clear who my favorite character is, I'm sure. I fell for Steve back in the first season and have only fallen further with each season. I'm also a big fan of Dustin and was super excited when the show made them into the Best Duo! All I want is to see Steve interact with more people than we've gotten to see. Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers as possible parental figures? Great! Jonathan and Nancy realizing they care about him, too? Yes, good! I'm also a big fan of self-esteem issues, so do with that what you will.

- Steve tries to bond with the kids, but Max is cold to him - "What a loser you must be if your only friends are kids."

Doctor Sleep (2019)

This movie blew me away. I love the characters, especially the relationship between Abra and Dan. I'd be happy with anything between them, really. Moments we didn't get to see, conversations post-Movie. Whatever comes to mind!
I also love Rose the Hat and would be particularly interested in what a relationship between her and Dan might look like.
Prompts:
- Abra starts to go dark after the events of the movie and Dan is stuck watching, unable to stop her
- AU where Rose the Hat finds Dan when he was a little younger and more susceptible. Decides she wants him rather than just his magic.
- Dan doesn't die and Abra and her mother allow him to stay with them. Some comfort for all of them after everything that happened? Found family feels!!
- Rose the Hat comes to Dan in his dreams with promises, slowly trying to twist him into someone she can use.
Free Guy (2021)

I saw this movie because of Joe Keery, but I did not expect to like his character as much as I do. I'm a sucker for pining, what can I say? (spoilers for the movie in my prompts below)
For tricks, I was thinking that something goes wrong with the game/AI that they created? Getting trapped in a virtual world? Or something in the real world, maybe something dark happening between him and Antwan?
For treats, maybe they get to go on a date like the one Millie was on with Guy. Or an AU where they were together sooner. OR we get to see what happens immediately after the movie?
Prompts
- A look into how Keys feels when he sees Millie flirting with an AI—an AI he modeled after his love for her—except the AI is better than him. Braver. Losing to his own creation. ANGST
- Guy's programming goes haywire and he doesn't want to let Millie go. Maybe he gets free of the game, though is still online, and starts going after the "competiton": Keys.
- Mouser rats out Keys early and Antwan gets a hold of him. He lets his security team work him over. He betrayed Antwan's trust, threw away his generosity, and now he was going to make sure Real Life stays their little secret. One way or another.
IT (Movies - Muschietti)

Ships: Eddie Kaspbrak/Richie Tozier, Ben/Beverly/Bill/Eddie/Mike/Richie/Stanley, Eddie Kaspbrak/Beverly Marsh/Richie Tozier, Bill Denbrough/Ben Hanscom/Beverly Marsh
I love these movies and especially love the characters. All of them are so interesting. I'm all about groups of people bonding after going through something together. Poly ships make me happy and I love the idea of all of them making a relationship work. But I'm just as happy with the smaller groups of relationships, too!
Richie and Eddie in particular stood out to me and I would be happy to see anything focused solely on one of them, OR something on the ships I've requested. Canon or Canon AUs are cool with me, as well as No Pennywise AUs. Anything that calls to you!
Knives Out (2019)

This was my comfort movie throughout 2020 and still very much is. I love these two so much. It would be very cool to see more of either of them, or both of them together in some way. There was really lovely chemistry that I could read as friendship or romantically, tbh. The way Benoit suspects right away, but waits and sees that she's a good person. Telling her to run after the will reading? It gets me!
And Marta is great. I love how much she cares about Harlan and her family. Her absolute shock over being named in the will, and the way she stands up for herself when Walt ambushes her at her home. It's all wonderful. Despite the prompts below being mostly canon oriented, feel free to go full on AU if that speaks to you instead.

Ahhh, this movie! Grace is a badass, but it took her a little while to get to that point and I loved watching her develop throughout. And Daniel, with all his guilt and issues, stole my heart. The fact that he comes through for her in the end, when he could have stood by and let his family kill her? Yeah, I can't help but ship them now. But I'm just as happy with them being friends or even uncomfortable/awkward allies. Whatever floats your boat!

I saw that someone had nommed some of my favorite characters together and had to request them, just in case!
Stranger Things & IT (Movies)
Steve Harrington isn't comfortable as a leader, isn't good at corralling kids— as we've seen in canon. But I love the idea of him seeing the Losers Club in trouble (whether from Pennywise and his scary forms or bullies or the town in general) and stepping up to defend them because he just can't help himself. Tweak the timelines a bit so that they're still kids whenever he happens to be in Derry for whatever reason. Or maybe Richie or Eddie (or any of the Losers) come to visit Hawkins. IDK, I'd just be very interested in seeing what their interactions might look like!
Stranger Things & Until Dawn
Both Steve and Jessica face monsters they didn't know existed. Steve got the chance to fight them, but Jessica was nearly killed and I don't remember if she had much of a chance to fight them like he did. I'm very interested in what it would look like for these two to bond over having been through something that few people would have survived, and definitely wouldn't believe. Modern AU for Stranger Things or setting Until Dawn in the past? All good! Or even an AU where none of the bad things happen and these two meet at school sometime, also good!
Stranger Things & Power Rangers 2017
Yeah, I really loved Jason Scott in the Power Rangers movie and was so sad when his character in Stranger Things ended up being an antagonist. But I still want to see him with Steve in some way and I think Jason and Steve would hit it off if they got the chance to meet, though Steve would have some hesitance given who Jason looks like if he's already met Hargrove.
Stranger Things & Supernatural
Uh, it blows my mind that Steve would actually be older than Sam. But again, I think that works with how he's ended up paired with or "in charge" of kids. Steve could be the first person Sam's met not through his father that knows about/believes in monsters. It would be interesting if Steve had a hand in why Sam started thinking about getting out and going to school, idk.
Or you could go with alternate dimensions so they're around their canon ages for things like:
- AU where Sam is teaching himself magic and casting a spell intent on bringing Dean back (from Purgatory?). The spell goes wrong and instead of summoning his brother Steve comes through.
- Jack opening dimensions trying to find the one he needs but opens one up to the upside down instead. Steve was trapped there trying to survive and guns it for the portal. Sam tries to help him figure out a way back to his dimension.
Supernatural & IT (Movies)
I had never considered it until I saw it in the noms, but I would be so into anything between Sam and Eddie!
American Horror Story: 1984
Characters: Xavier Plympton, Brooke Thompson
Another case of, didn't expect to love this as much as I did. Definitely didn't expect to love Xavier so much. I liked how he was with Bertie? IDK, I really felt for him when he went out the way he did. And Brooke! She's so gorgeous and an absolute mess. Love the relationships these two form with the other characters. I'd be happy to see pretty much anything from my general or halloween/horror likes for either of them.
The Haunting of Hill House (TV 2018
Characters: Steven Crain, Theo Crain
Ships: Theo Crain/Trish Park
I love Steven Crain! He's flawed; he's selfish, he's his own brand of controlling (though different than Shirley). But even so, he loves his family. They're all broken in their own ways, and it's clear that he's exhausted by Luke and Nell, but he also lost it when he saw Nell's dead body for the first time. IDK, he's complicated and I love him.
Theo is wonderful! She sets boundaries, unhealthily so in some cases, but she's willing to go for what she wants. She lived through some terrible things and came out of it messed up, too, but she also decided she wanted to help kids like her and I think that's so cool. Plus, I love the way she starts to let Trish in, and eventually throws her gloves away. So good!
Supernatural
Characters: Sam Winchester
Gen Ships: Rowena MacLeod & Sam Winchester

Sam Winchester! Is the love of my life! Even if I am not quite so active in the fandom anymore, I still love him so much. He's been through more than anyone should have, and he still manages to be a good person. Better than some others in the show, haha. And I love his dynamic with Rowena. Their destinies are entwined and that sort of thing just gets to me!
And I know we hardly saw them together, but I still love his relationship with Jess. There was a reason that he was so revenge happy back in the first season, and it was because of just how much he loved her. I'm all about couples being devoted to each other!
Prompts:
- Rowena & Sam bonding/getting closer after their shared abuse by lucifer...the comforting turns to more.
- Rowena casts an enchantment to get what she always wanted from Sam, something she knew he'd never give her. Whumpy non-con!
- Sam and Jessica enjoying a GOOD Halloween together. Maybe Sam's first visit to a pumpkin patch is with her and her family?
- Gabriel, disguised as a cupid wants a little chaos. Shoots both Sam and Rowena with an arrow because he's over their pining for each other.
- Sam pining after Rowena who will never want him the way he wants her. He can have her body, but never her heart.
- Just having a plain relaxing evening together and nothing bad happens at all!
