Exciting Update...
...about the fanfiction I've been working on. It's exciting to me anyways.
The other day I was watching Criminal Minds and halfway through the episode I got a bunch of images and words floating through my head of a story that I could write about the boys. This plot bunny started to eat its way through my brain. I ran around the house in search for a pen and a notebook to write down the crazy idea that had forced its way into my thoughts. When I finally found them I started to write out the outline/plot of my story and didn't stop until it was a page long. And I have small writing people. Downright tiny sometimes.
Well, that got me crazy excited because the other fanfiction I attempted to write only got as far as 3 paragraphs and I hadn't had a real idea of where it was heading. But this one just wont leave me alone. Later that day I grabbed a new notebook, because the one I used to write my plot was full and I'd had to use the backside of a page for it, and started to write the actual story.
The first night I got a little over 3 pages written before I had to put my pen down. Jason had come over to hang out with me, so I had to be finished for the time being. When I went back to look at it, I did a word count and found that I'd written 1147 words. Which is crazy to me, because it was in the course of one day/afternoon/evening, whatever. And I've never written anything that long so quickly before. Not something that I was proud of anyways.
And today I whipped out that notebook and pen once more because I had all these sentences bouncing around in my brain while I tried to work on my homework. I ended up adding 3 more pages to the story and brought the total word count up to 2459. I'm so uber excited about it right now! I can't remember ever writing so much so fast and I'm really looking forward to what I can add to it. I put the pen down again because I wanted to distance myself a little. I didn't want to force the words and I felt like that's what I would be doing if I continued anymore. I figure I'll type up what I've got written and send it to Kirsten. Double check what I've written so I know which direction I've taken with it. Sometimes I forget and my stories wind up making no sense. And I want this one to be awesome.
